Mónica Celeste is the commonly known name of the specific community of watery cells and organisms living currently in Helsinki They breathed air with their own lung system for the first time on the day of 18th of June in 1994. Since then they have collected memories, sensory messages and interacted with their surroundings and processed it within their multispecies self in collaboration with other ecologies to produce some of the produce below

Bio

Born in Turku, Finland in 1994. With a multidisciplinary background in arts, film, design, economics and social sciences, Mónica’s works are in the intersections of social systems, facilitating exchanges and interactions between disciplines, thought systems, and environments. Mónica studied Creative Sustainability at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at Aalto University. Raised between two cultures of Finland and Costa Rica, Mónica has developed deep curiosity towards cultural diversity and worldviews, with a focus on decolonisation.
